An assistant attorney general in Michigan who was accused of harassing a gay student assembly president at the University of Michigan has been allowed back on campus–with restrictions, reports the Associated Press. The school and a lawyer for Andrew Shirvell say he can enter all public grounds and public events such as football games. But he’s not allowed to have “physical or verbal contact” with student Chris Armstrong or be anywhere where he can reasonably anticipate Armstrong will be present. Armstrong claimed Shirvell harassed him over a five-month period. Shirvell started a blog in April that regularly lambasted Armstrong as a racist with a “radical homosexual agenda.”
