Dr. Steve Baule is a faculty member at Winona State University (WSU), where he teaches in the Leadership Education Department. Prior to joining WSU, Baule spent 28 years in K-12 school systems in Illinois, Indiana, and Iowa, and two years teaching in the University of Wisconsin System. For the 13 years prior to moving to the university level, Baule served as a public -school superintendent. He has written 10 books on a variety of educational and historical topics and has served on the editorial boards for two journals. Baule earned an advanced diversity and equity certificate while in the UW system. He holds a doctorate in instructional technology from Northern Illinois University and a doctorate in educational leadership and policy studies from Loyola University Chicago.

Baule’s scholarly interests focus on online student engagement, educational technology-- particularly the impact of 1:1 implementations, social-emotional learning, and the history of education. Baule led several efforts to improve student emotional health and reduce discipline issues prior to moving into higher education. He also writes on aspects of early American history.

Baule has held memberships in the American Association of School Administrators, the American Library Association, the American Association of School Librarians, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, the Consortium for School Networking, the International Association of School Librarians, the National Association of Secondary School Principals, the National Staff Development Council, and many of their state affiliates. He has served as a consultant in the areas of educational technology, facilities design, library program development, team building, and communications.

Tom Haymes is a technologist, teacher, photographer, social scientist, project manager, and educational technology leader. He is currently Storyteller in Residence for Arizona State University’s ShapingEDU Project and is the author of Learn at Your Own Risk: 9 Strategies for Thriving in the Pandemic and Beyond (ATBOSH Media, 2020) and Discovering Digital Humanity (ATBOSH Media, Forthcoming 2021). As VP of Higher Education Strategy for Canvas by Instructure, Jared Stein and team uncover new ways that technology can improve teaching and learning--often in collaboration with colleges and universities.

Jared works to help teachers design effective blended and online learning so that all students can have great experiences in education. He believes in applying research to design, and encourages real-world practice, openness, and simplicity. Jared has also helped institutions plan for education challenges through grassroots, faculty-driven initiatives (such as open education projects), and top-level leadership plans (such as the growth of online and hybrid offerings).

Michael Wiseman is the Vice President, Public Sector Sales at Pure Storage, bringing over 25 years of experience as a tech sales leader in government IT. Wiseman previously served as Vice President, US Americas SLED, leading the sales team responsible for state, local, and education customers in the United States.

In his current role, he is responsible for developing a team to enable the transformation of how public sector customers protect, serve, and educate their constituents by leveraging technology to connect, innovate, and lead. Wiseman’s history of driving IT market share, building revenue, and ensuring customer satisfaction has helped propel Pure Storage forward in the Public Sector market. His dedication to amplifying customer and partner stories is essential in developing and executing missions across Federal, state, local, and education sub-verticals.

Wiseman is an advocate for the application of information technology to streamline operations, increase collaboration, and drive innovation.Wiseman has represented Sales in Pure Storage’s “Pure Equality” Inclusion and Diversity Team, Employee mentoring and onboarding initiative, as well as Pure Good community service initiatives.

Prior to joining Pure Storage, Wiseman spent 17 years at Cisco, where he held sales leadership positions in Commercial, Enterprise, and Public Sector segments, as well as the National Partner Organization. Wiseman has also served as the Cisco Public Sector/SLED leadership representative for Junior Achievement, helping teach K-12 students about business and entrepreneurship.

Prior to Cisco, Wiseman held various National and Public Sector sales positions at Executone Information Systems. Wiseman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California State University-Chico and a Master of Science degree in Management of Technology from Golden Gate University. He volunteers with the SF-Marin Food Bank and Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties.
