Multi-campus California district replaces current portal with cloud-based solution to simplify access to campus services from mobile devices
rSmart announced today that Rancho Santiago Community College District is the first institution to adopt OneCampus, what the campus and company are calling “the modern post-portal solution” that provides access to all campus services in one location, from any device.
Serving one of the largest of community college districts in California, OneCampus aims to enable students, faculty, and staff to search and connect with hundreds of district services and programs such as grades, class schedules, and email in an online marketplace format.
“Students attending our campuses frequently access district information and services from their phone or mobile devices. We are honored to be the first institution to select OneCampus and are confident it will be an excellent replacement for our current student services portal,” said Dr. Raúl Rodriguez, chancellor for Rancho Santiago Community College District.
The user-friendly platform will also provide district administrators the ability to quickly change or add new services and solicit user feedback to facilitate continuous service improvements, said rSmart.
“As the number of web-based solutions used by colleges and universities continue to grow, institutions of all sizes need an easy and affordable way to organize and analyze these services,” said CEO Tony Potts.
In December, rSmart will establish a OneCampus advisory board comprised of higher education leaders to provide input on additional features and the product roadmap to ensure OneCampus meets the needs of colleges and universities today and into the future.
