Google and its hardware partner ASUS are reportedly planning to launch a new $99 Nexus tablet this year that could open up the tablet market to a massive new group of consumers, BGR News reports. The report comes from Digitimes on Thursday, and it cites unnamed industry sources in claiming two new Nexus tablets are currently in the works. LG Intuition ‘phablet’ coming to Verizon on September 6th for $199.99
Sorry, Samsung: You’re about to get some competition in the market for oversized smartphones, BGR News reports. Verizon on Tuesday announced that it would start selling LG’s five-inch Intuition smartphone on September 6th for $199.99 and a two-year service agreement. The Intuition, with a screen that’s slightly smaller than the 5.5-inch screen on Samsung’s Galaxy Note II behemoth, features an 8-megapixel camera capable of taking video at 1080 pixels, a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, LTE connectivity and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
