Is K-12 driving university tablet adoption?

Only 22 percent said they opt for a tablet or computer.

The findings fall in line with a survey conducted earlier this year by Wakefield Research.

In that study, just over half of students said they would be more likely to complete required reading if it was available on their phones. Nearly nine in 10 respondents said they had studied this way for tests at the last minute.

Fresno faculty fellows will prepare for the iPad roll-out with an intensive one-week training course in June, according to the university. The educators will use tablets in a real-time classroom in hopes of better understanding which apps are best for teaching, among other lessons.
