National Association of Nutrition Professionals Approves American College of Healthcare Sciences’ Programs

Portland, OR— January 3, 2014—American College of Healthcare Sciences (ACHS) announces approval of additional programs by the National Association of Nutrition Professionals (NANP). Graduates of NANP-approved programs must meet rigorous educational standards to become eligible for national certification. In addition to ACHS’s already approved program, the Diploma in Holistic Health Practice, graduates of the following programs are now eligible for NANP professional membership and to sit the Holistic Nutrition Credentialing Board’s (HNCB) Board Certification in Holistic Nutrition examination:
Associate of Applied Science in Complementary Alternative Medicine
Associate of Applied Science in Health and Wellness
Master of Science in Holistic Nutrition
Master of Science in Health and Wellness
Master of Science in Complementary Alternative Medicine
“I’m pleased to announce that these masters programs will be recognized as NANP recommended education programs. Students who successfully complete these programs will meet the educational standards required to become professional members of the NANP, and may apply to sit for the Board Exam in Holistic Nutrition,” says Shannon Montoya, NANP Educational Programs Assistant.
