The overall findings showed that forums went completely unused by many students, as just 1 in 10 MOOC students posted even once in their course forum.
“Are there large numbers of lurkers who view forums but don’t post, or are there simply fewer students using forums than we had expected?” the Stanford researchers wrote in a blog post.
