As you prepare for the conference, here are some sessions, events, and other facts that can help you plan your time in San Antonio

The EDUCAUSE 2024 Annual Conference lands in San Antonio, Texas in October and brings together higher-education professionals and technology providers from around the world to network, share ideas, grow professionally, and discover solutions to today’s challenges.

This year’s featured keynoters include researcher and author Dr. Brené Brown, Susan Grajek, vice president for Partnerships, Communities and Research at EDUCAUSE, and Jaron Lanier, a scientist, musician, artist, and author. Dr. Brown’s keynote session on Oct. 22 will focus on “daring leadership and how to create more courageous cultures.”

Discover Your Technology Psychology:Join AI speaker and ChatGPT guru Beth Z, Your Nerdy Best Friend, to discover your Technology Psychology. You’ll take a self-assessment to find out your Technology Psychology Persona to help you understand the benefits and limitations of your approach to new technology. You’ll also see the new tech world from other perspectives so you can understand why, when it comes to tech solutions, it’s so tough to get everyone on the same digital page. (Tuesday, Oct. 22, 11:30-12:15)

Shaping the Future of Higher Education from the CIO’s Seat: The higher education sector has been facing financial and demographic challenges for over a decade. At the same time, IT has evolved from operational enablers to strategic partners, with higher education leaders viewing IT as an integral component of every aspect of the strategic plan and mission. Join us for a moderated panel discussion to hear about trends facing the higher education sector, and how two forward-thinking CIOs are leveraging their roles as strategic leaders at their institutions to proactively position their institutions to chart a course for their universities and shape the future of higher education. If there are sessions you can’t attend during the in-person event, don’t worry–EDUCAUSE’s online conference will run from November 13-14. The online conference features sessions from the in-person conference along with exclusive new content. In-person attendees have access to the online conference as part of their regular registration, and those who can’t make the in-person conference can register for the online conference only.
