Company is Setting New Standard of Quality in Online Educational Content
Hollywood, CA – August 25, 2014 – Adapt Courseware, which provides state-of-the-art adaptive learning multimedia, received four Telly Awards in recognition of its outstanding online educational video and graphics content, including the coveted People’s Telly Award. With nearly 12,000 entries from 50 states and numerous countries, the Telly Awards recognize the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world.
“We are thrilled to be recognized alongside many of the heavy hitters and most innovative producers in the broadcast and digital content space,” said Patrick Weir, President of Adapt Courseware. “This is a tremendous milestone for our team as it has been our goal to both define and lead the new standard of quality in EdTech content. The creative work we are producing is taking the online education experience to an entirely new level, moving away from flat, static content to rich, dynamic multimedia video and interactives that are instrumental to a student’s knowledge retention, material mastery and academic performance.”
Vice President of Production, Christina Ferguson, noted, “By assembling a team of entertainment-based creatives from film, television, advertising and animation, we’ve differentiated ourselves from the traditional corporate and education content producers and this award recognition only reconfirms our strategy.”
Adapt Courseware’s team of academic subject matter experts, curriculum developers, instructional designers, and award winning entertainment producers and animators collaborate to create more than 100 hours of video and 24,000 different multimedia interactives each year. Educators can use these resources to deliver complete or modular adaptive learning materials in combination with their own content to configure a highly engaging, personalized experience. Schools nationwide are using Adapt Courseware’s content repository, authoring toolset and data analytics to achieve higher student retention, completion and satisfaction.
The Telly Awards, which was founded in 1979, awarded Adapt Courseware in four distinct categories. In the Online Video Education category, Adapt Courseware won for its “Consumer Behavior: Problem Recognition and Information Search;” in the Online Video Health & Fitness category, it won for its “Introduction to Fertility;” in the Online Video Graphics category, it won for “An Introduction to Financial Accounting;” and for the 2014 People’s Telly Award, it won for “An Introduction to Financial Accounting.”
“The Telly Awards has a mission to honor the very best in film and video,” said Linda Day, Executive Director of the Telly Awards. “Adapt Courseware’s accomplishment illustrates their creativity, skill, and dedication to their craft and serves as a testament to great film and video production.”
A prestigious judging panel of over 500 accomplished industry professionals, each a past winner of a Silver Telly and a member of The Silver Telly Council, judged the competition, upholding the historical standard of excellence that Telly represents. The Silver Council evaluated entries to recognize distinction in creative work. Entries do not compete against each other, rather entries are judged against a high standard of merit. Less than 10% of entries are chosen as Winners of the Silver Telly, and approximately 25% of entries are chosen as Winners of the Bronze Telly.
