Three Additional New York Colleges Partner with Mantra Health Offering Over 60,000 Students Across the State Mental Health Services

NEW YORK, NY December 20, 2021 — Mantra Health, a digital mental health clinic that partners with higher education institutions, today announced three new collegiate partnerships in the state of New York, including Alfred State College, Clarkson University, and Russell Sage College to ensure timely, coordinated psychiatric specialty care and medication management is available for all their students. Other New York institutions already partnered with Mantra, including Hamilton College, Colgate University, and St. John’s University bringing the total number of students Mantra serves in the state to 60,000.

Many US college students reported an elevated level of depression, loneliness, and hopelessness at the beginning of this fall semester, while colleges nationwide are grappling with a shortage of mental health providers. New York state is no different from the national trend, young adults have the highest rates of poor mental health in comparison to other age groups in New York, and 21% of the state’s population resides in an area that has a mental health professional shortage.
