An error on the W-2 forms issued by Bergen Community College may have caused hundreds of employees to overpay state and federal taxes for the last six years, the Record reported, according to NJ.com. The error likely affects almost every college employee, said Steve Baker, a spokesman for the New Jersey Education Association, which represents faculty members. The error appears to be an “honest mistake,” Al Legge, president of the union representing staff service employees, said. College officials told the Record the error is why the college hired the Marcus Group, a public relations firm.
