Goa University gives distance edu new meaning


The Goa university (GU) is set to give distance education a whole new meaning, reports the Times of India. The university has upgraded its studio to set up audio-visual facilities using satellite technology, internet and telecom network, and reception centers have been set up in 25 higher secondary schools and affiliated colleges across 11 talukas in the state. This enables higher secondary and college students to interact with resource persons at the university, while still sitting in their classrooms.
