Dixie State University adopts new safety system

System delivers expert-authored safety training to staff and students.

campus-safetyScenario Learning, developer of safety and compliance solutions for colleges, announces that Dixie State University in Utah has adopted the SafeColleges Online Training System.

Dixie State University released an RFP nationwide seeking an online safety and compliance management system that would provide training in the following campus safety categories: Emergency Management, Environmental, Health, Human Resources, Information Technology, Nutrition Services, Security, Social and Behavioral, Student Issues, and Transportation.

Administrators also wanted a system that provided unlimited access to a comprehensive course library, customization options, a way to create and distribute campus-specific courses and policies, 24/7/365 access to training, email notification of assignments, automatic tracking, administrative reports, and technical and training support.

After a thorough evaluation, Dixie State awarded the contract to Scenario Learning and now has access to the SafeColleges Online Training System. The web-based system helps college administrators automate their staff and student training, saving valuable time and money.

The system includes a comprehensive library of online courses covering important safety and compliance topics, such as Alcohol Awareness; Clery Act; Diversity; Hazing Prevention; SaVE Act; Sexual Harassment; Title IX; Visual Weapons Screening and more.

All SafeColleges Training courses are 100 percent campus-focused and written by the nation’s leading safety experts. Using the system, administrators can easily track training completions, monitor progress, download compliance reports and view or print certificates of completion. Customers who have implemented the program well have seen a 50 percent reduction in workers comp claims, saving hundreds of thousands of dollars a year.
