Pennsylvania Career Colleges Learn How to Advance Career Services

Denver, CO and Pennsylvania— March 12, 2012 — TopSchool, a leading SaaS provider of Student Lifecycle Management (SLM) solutions for higher education, is helping career and private sector schools in Pennsylvania deliver a higher level of support to improve placement rates. The company is leading two “how-to” sessions during the PAPSA Professional Development Series on March 12th and March 19th.

Between new federal regulations and the economic downturn, colleges and universities need to look for new ways to help students find jobs. Session attendees will learn how to build the right career services organization, better understand their audiences, connect students and employers, and track and measure placement success.

“As regulations such as Gainful Employment go into effect, colleges and universities need to rethink their career services model and dedicate the right resources to it,” said Justin McMorrow, Chief Customer Officer and co-founder of TopSchool. “Schools need to move beyond the role of advisor and take on a more active approach in guiding students through the job search process and measuring outcomes, which can have a significant impact on compliance and accreditation, not to mention recruitment and retention.”

The PAPSA event, “Career Services: The Challenges of Placement, Tracking and Compliance,” is being held twice this month:

– PAPSA East: Monday, March 12th at the Wyndham Garden in Exton, PA
– PAPSA West: Monday, March 19th at ITT Tech in Tarentum, PA
