SAN DIEGO, Aug 17, 2009 -- In an effort to promote youth scholarship and education through reading, writing, critical thinking and ingenuity, Globaltel Media Inc. is sponsoring eight scholarships, each in the amount of $250, to coincide with the release of the novel "Turned" by high school student Jenna Cooper.

The GTM scholarship requires applicants to be age 25 or under.  Middle school, high school and college students are encouraged to put their creative talents and writing skills to the test by writing an essay of no more than 1,000 words as an analysis and assessment of "Turned."
