Announcement grows Gale Digital Collections Program and expands Gale Artemis: Primary Sources Platform

historical-documentsGale, part of Cengage Learning, announced several Gale Digital Collections for academic and special libraries around the world, including the next three installments of Associated Press Collections Online as well as Brazilian and Portuguese History and Culture: The Oliveira Lima Library.

These new collections are available on the Gale Artemis: Primary Sources platform, giving researchers the ability to cross-search with other digital archives and access to graphing and search visualization tools that will help them explore the content in new ways.

Gale has also completed the migration of several historical newspaper and periodical collections onto the Gale Artemis: Primary Sources platform, which now boasts more than 125 million pages of content.

“Our amazing relationships with libraries and institutions around the world enable us to bring this precious historical content from archive vaults to the devices of students, researchers and faculty,” said Paul Gazzolo, senior vice president and general manager for Gale. “The diverse content available in these new archives speaks to our mission of creating a truly global brand that serves researchers worldwide.”
