Last month, tens of websites including Amazon, Netflix and others fell victim to one of the largest distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks in history, temporarily crashing under the weight of huge amounts of fake traffic orchestrated by malicious hackers. At Carnegie Mellon, research out of the CyLab Security and Privacy Institute shows that the tools needed to thwart these kinds of attacks are on the horizon. Read more [1].

In an effort to better understand how student life activities impact learning, Chalk & Wire announced that Principia College has expanded its use of their assessment platform. Partnering with Chalk & Wire for the past six years, the private liberal arts college in Elsah, Illinois can now demonstrate student learning outcomes for both academic and co-curricular activities. With Chalk & Wire, Principia College can review student learning data to find out if curriculum changes are successful and making a positive impact. OneCampus will allow the Fairfield University community to easily connect to dozens of resources such as student services, course information, learning management systems (LMS) and even laundry machine statuses, all in an online marketplace format. In the spirit of scholarly exchange, Chung-Ang University announced a formal partnership with several University of Utah entities focused on the development of digital telehealth innovations through shared knowledge and best practices. U entities participating in the exchange include: University of Utah Hospital; University of Utah Health Care Telehealth; the U Brain Institute; and the Research Center for Digital Wellbeing.
