University CIOs you must follow on Twitter

[1]
Many CIOs are active on Twitter.

Those most familiar with the challenges of technological evolution in higher education have never had a more direct outlet for disseminating information to those most interested in educational technology.

Chief information officers (CIOs), the campus officials who make myriad decisions on how colleges and universities should use technology, and how the school can adapt to new devices and online trends, are ever-present on Twitter, commenting on ed-tech news and dishing out valuable insight to anyone willing to peruse their timeline.

Higher education CIOs provide some of the most in-depth analysis of current and burgeoning technological trends among students and faculty, as seen in May when a group of CIOs told the public what they really thought [2] of the proliferation of massive open online courses (MOOCs).

Without further ado, here are the CIOs you should follow on Twitter.
