InFocus Mondopad Family Grows with 80-inch Boardroom Tablet

In order to facilitate better group presentations and foster team engagement, collaboration technology pioneer InFocus Corporation (www.infocus.com) has added an 80-inch Mondopad to its family of large-format touchscreen conference room tablets. InFocus has also released a new version of the Mondopad software with many enhanced features.

The 80-inch 1080p HD Mondopad, which joins the family of 55-inch and 70-inch versions, has 111 percent more interactive surface area than the 55-inch base model at more than 2,700 square inches, exponentially increasing meeting-attendees’ view. Mondopad enables users to collaborate and present with colleagues across the globe with its video conferencing capabilities, sharable interactive whiteboard, annotatable browser and network connectivity. It also comes with one year of no-cost InFocus’ 121 Video Calling service. Additionally, the Mondopad can communicate with all other Session Initiation Protocol-enabled (SIP) and H.323 devices, such as video conferencing systems or video phones, regardless of make or model.

The new Mondopad 80-inch also comes with InFocus’ newest Mondopad 1.8 software, which runs on either the Windows 7 or Windows 8 operating systems. Applications that run on Windows 7 or Windows 8 will run on Mondopad in responsive touch mode including Microsoft Office Suite, which comes standard. Mondopad’s intuitive interface enables most employees or students to use the device with little additional training.

“The 80-inch Mondopad welcomes audiences to participate in important collaboration sessions regardless of their location in the world, making business easier,” said InFocus CEO Raymond Yu. “Whether you are in the back corner of a large boardroom viewing the enormous screen in-person or using the ControlView app to control the screen from your tablet, Mondopad’s display is easy to see and easy to share.”

Mondopad 1.8 software features several new features including an expanded suite of annotations tools, video annotation capability, five-point touch drawing, Exchange-based e-mail support and automated file maintenance to preserve hard drive storage. All Mondopad models can apply this software update at no cost to the owner.

“With the unique ability of the Mondopad to draw and annotate, our personnel – that are in their respective classrooms – can see anything the instructor is talking about,” said Addison Fire Protection District fire inspector Mike Heimbecker.

The InFocus Mondopad, in each of its sizes, can be purchased through InFocus authorized resellers.
