Helix Education Publishes Three-Part eBook Series, Helping Educators Find, Enroll, Retain and Teach Students

User’s Guides Highlight Strategies to Personalize the Entire Education Experience

Salt Lake City, UT – July 10, 2014 – Helix Education, a world class provider of student life cycle technologies and services, has published its complete eBook series, which is designed to help colleges and universities navigate the student life cycle. Each eBook explores strategies to proactively support students throughout the entire educational experience, from the first time they inquire about a program until graduation.

“Today’s students are seeking a more personalized experience – one in which the institution understands their goals, their situations, and their learning styles, and therefore delivers the kind of customized support needed to succeed,” said Matthew Schnittman, President and CEO at Helix Education. “Building relationships with students and monitoring progress from one phase of the student life cycle to the next is absolutely critical to helping students achieve their educational objectives and graduate in a timely manner.”

The first eBook, “A User’s Guide to Finding More Qualified Prospects,” provides insight on how schools can leverage analytics, strategic planning and creative communications to engage qualified prospective students. It outlines the best ways to find and connect with prospects as their preferences continue to evolve. It also focuses on the benefits of the various channels, including direct mail, SEO, PPC and display advertising, as well as ways to measure the effectiveness of each through attribution.

The next in the series, “A User’s Guide to Student Enrollment and Retention,” highlights the importance of creating a meaningful foundation with prospective and enrolled students, increasing the likelihood that those who inquire then enroll, and those who enroll then start and stay. The eBook explores tips to connect students with critical resources, prepare them for what’s to come, and engage them at milestones along the way.

The final eBook in the series, “A User’s Guide to Competency-Based Education,” defines competency-based education (CBE), its ability to evolve the instructor’s role, its impact on administrative processes, and the way it is transforming the learning process, as well as implementation and transition considerations. As CBE merges instructional content, assessments and outcomes, it has the power to help boost completion, retention and graduation rates.

Each eBook is available for free download from the Resources section of Helix Education’s website. Additional articles and white papers highlighting strategies, trends and best practices along the student life cycle are also available.
