Bretford Adds 30-Unit Model to Store & Charge Cart Family

Charges and Stores Up to 30 Tablets with Cases in Compact Design; Ideal for Education, Corporate, Retail and Healthcare Environments

CHICAGO — August 5, 2013 — Bretford Manufacturing, Inc.®, a U.S. manufacturer of technology-enabled furniture for learning and business environments, today added a 30-unit tablet charging cart to its Store & Charge family of carts. The MDMTAB30 is designed to charge, store, secure and transport up to 30 tablets regardless of the brand, with or without a case, in a compact cart that is ideal for education, corporate, retail and healthcare environments.

“The addition of the 30-unit model offers professionals a choice in carts based on the number of devices that need to be charged and stored as well as the amount of space available in the environment where the cart is being used,” explained Robert Gabriel, product manager for Bretford Manufacturing, Inc. “The MDMTAB30 allows for maximum capacity in a small footprint. At the same time, it offers extreme flexibility because it can accommodate multiple brands of tablets and cases in varying sizes.”

Designed to support the modern learning and business environments, the MDMTAB30 features an advanced power management system with a charging cycle that constantly evaluates the demand for power.

The Round Robin charging allows device batteries to cool down between charging cycles, thereby extending their life. A cable management channel in the front of the cart guides a cable to each device. At the same time, small power adapters simply plug into power strips in the rear of the cart, while larger power adapters are stored in a compartment at the back of each device slot. The cart also has an auxiliary outlet for powering peripheral devices.
Each cart has two shelves with individual laser-printed numbers for easy identification of every device and its electrical components. The MDMTAB30 also includes full-access doors in the front and the rear of the cart. It comes with a unique locking handle that can be opened using either a reprogrammable combination or a key. And the cart is UL60950 certified for safety of equipment that supports information technology.

The MDMTAB30 is currently available for order. For more information about Bretford, visit www.bretford.com or call 1-800-521-9614. Bretford can also be followed on Twitter at www.twitter.com/bretfordmanf.
