Blue was Selected as the Standard Assessment Tool for Learning in a Global Education Program

eXplorance’s Blue software will assist the Global High Schools network in assessing the impact of a global education program on teachers and students.

eXplorance Inc., the leading provider of LEM (Learning Experience Management) solutions, announces today that Global High Schools, has selected Blue as the standard learning assessment tool for their network of secondary schools. eXplorance has collaborated with Global High Schools to implement a special course evaluation program to assess student engagement and progress for the schools of the network.
The Denmark-based Global High Schools network, winner of the Council of Europe’s World Aware Education Award, is participating in the Glocal Educator Project, a research-based professional learning program that develops and assesses the impact of the project on teacher and student global competences. Global competences are key skills, enhancing the understanding of complex problems according to Veronica Boix-Mansilla, Principal Investigator at Project Zero at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. The Global High Schools network was seeking a learning assessment solution that would facilitate the evaluation of teacher and student competences related to global education as well as students’ engagement and progress.

Blue includes modules for teacher and course evaluations, tests, 360 peer reviews and surveys to collect feedback from other stakeholders such as parents. Blue enables schools to create a cycle of continuous learning improvement within the classroom via benchmarking, feedback from all stakeholders, sophisticated reporting, customized suggestions for improvement, and automated workflows – all designed for adaptive lifelong learning.

The network selected Blue as the product to evaluate student engagement within the global education program and suggests improvements to the curriculum. Within a month, seven of the schools have already completed the implementation of the learning assessment software. “The team has provided quick responses to urgent needs and has created a pleasant working environment.” says Marie Sandvad, Global High Schools’ coordinator. “The work has been carried out with a high professional standard.”

Adam Usher, a research consultant from Glocal Educators advising on the implementation of global awareness in education programs, added that working with eXplorance has “been an enormously positive experience. The team at eXplorance are professional, intuitive and future-focused and understand both the technical needs of the project and my needs as the client. The result that we have achieved with Blue and eXplorance is everything that we looked for and need.” Following this successful implementation, other schools will proceed with the implementation of Blue.
