Unicon Technologists to Deliver Twenty-Seven Presentations at the 2012 Jasig Sakai Conference


Informative Sessions on uPortal, Sakai, uMobile, CAS, Portlets, Kaltura, and Development Technologies

Gilbert, AZ – May 15, 2012— Unicon, Inc., the leading provider of open source IT consulting services for the education market, will be presenting and participating in a total of 27 technical seminars and presentations at the upcoming 2012 Jasig Sakai Conference, “Growing Community; Growing Possibilities,” being held in Atlanta, Georgia, June 10-15, 2012. Nine expert open source software developers and architects from Unicon will present on a variety of subjects pertaining to open source application deployment, development, and support for the online campus.

This year’s conference will showcase technologies from both the Jasig and Sakai communities, as the two groups continue to collaborate and work towards one common foundation/organization. Tracks in this year’s conference include Awareness and Advocacy; Design and Development; Deployment and Integration; Expanded Solutions; Getting Started; Leadership and Future Directions; Teaching, Learning, Portfolios and Research; and Technical Management. The conference will also highlight the adoption and growth of software to support advances in learning, teaching and research, together with the infrastructure that enables it. The conference will provide a global networking point for practitioners.
