Schoology assessment management platform for higher ed launched at EDUCAUSE

Schoology, "the strongest LMS you’ve never seen," personalizes learning for students in higher education

Who: Schoology (Schoology.com)

What: Schoology — which has been called “the strongest LMS you’ve never seen” by e-Literate — will share its award-winning Learning Management System at EDUCAUSE this year. Schoology is designed to enhance the personalized learning experience at the higher education level and it now includes the integrated Assessment Management Platform or “AMP.”

Background: Schoology’s Learning Management System has garnered the attention of new institutions due to its new products, including AMP, which allows colleges and universities to develop centrally managed and widely distributed tests and exams that match learning objectives and can be delivered within the normal course workflow. AMP with Schoology, bridges together student learning experiences with comprehensive assessment and mastery reporting, so that the same system faculty use to teach and deliver courses can also be used to assess student mastery. The functionality can be used not only across campus, but also by department or individual course.

EDUCAUSE Breakout Session: Carlos Astorga from Wheaton College along with Schoology will discuss how colleges can align strategic goals for learning with selection and deployment of an LMS in an EDUCAUSE session on Thursday, October 27 from 8:00 to 8:50 a.m. in room 303A.

Also, see Schoology in booth 1811 in the EDUCAUSE Exhibit Hall.
