Company Strengthens Team to Expand Robust Courseware Offerings and Support More Institutions

Rochester, NY – January 16, 2013 – Adapt Courseware, the provider of comprehensive adaptive online curriculum resources that individualize the learning experience for each student, announced that Steve Wehner has joined its team as Vice President of Curriculum Development. Wehner’s extensive background in multimedia design and production, coupled with his teaching experience, will ensure the highest quality of Adapt Courseware’s growing list of titles.

“We are delighted to welcome Steve to our team – he brings a keen understanding of the learning process and a tremendous amount of creativity, plus he knows what it means to deliver truly engaging multimedia interactives,” said Dr. John Boersma, founder and CEO of Adapt Courseware. “We’ve set some aggressive goals in curriculum development and believe that Steve and our additional new team members will be strong assets in helping us achieve our vision to deliver the best online learning experiences.”

Wehner has earned several awards for designing, creating and producing digital media, including a Silver W3 Award, Silver Communicator Award, and numerous Ziff-Davis education awards. He has consulted in the education space and has spent the last five years teaching design courses at Nazareth College of Rochester. He also spent eight years at Element K where he delivered high volumes of online learning content for Fortune 500 clients and managed the creation and implementation of design standards and style guides for an online library of over 1,600 course titles accessed by over 8,000 students worldwide.

“We have an amazing opportunity to deliver an online education experience that will make a measurable difference in the lives of countless students,” said Wehner. “The dynamic multimedia and interactivity that Adapt Courseware has built into its Introduction to Psychology offering goes beyond most of the content we see in higher education, and I’m excited to plan for and develop additional titles of this caliber. Adapt Courseware is personalizing the way students learn, and I’m looking forward to being part of this significant evolution in education.”

Adapt Courseware’s roadmap includes the development of approximately 25 new titles in general education, remedial education, and business administration. Also guiding this effort is Clare Dygert, who recently joined the company as Director of Multimedia Interactives. She is responsible for leading the creation of over 50,000 learning activities as part of the company’s curriculum development plan. Previously, Dygert held content development positions at Element K and the National Technical Institute for the Deaf.
