Epson Helps Educators Get the Most from Their Interactive Projectors with New BrightLink Training Videos

More Than 30 Free Tutorials Offer Insight on Using BrightLink Projectors in the Classroom

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Oct. 17, 2012 – Epson, the number-one selling projector brand worldwide1, has developed more than 30 “BrightLink Bright Spots” training videos to help teachers and technology trainers better understand the wide range of features available through EPSON® BrightLink ultra-short throw and short throw interactive projectors. Available for free on the Epson website, the BrightLink Bright Spots are short, easy-to-follow video clips that cover specific topics related to using interactive projector technology in instruction.

“Too often, technologies are underutilized in the classroom because teachers are not properly trained on how to integrate them into the curriculum,” said Heather Litus Johnston, product manager, K-12 Education Marketing, Epson America, Inc. “Our Bright Spots provide educators with free, self-paced tutorials to help them master their BrightLink interactive projector and in turn, further engage their students.”

Topics covered in the two- to four-minute BrightLink Bright Spots videos include connecting computers and document cameras, implementing various software programs such as Easy Interactive Tools and TeamBoard Annotation Software, using Epson’s iProjection app and more.

Educators can access the BrightLink Bright Spot tutorials anytime and anywhere by visiting http://www.epson.com/brightlinkvideos.

About BrightLink Interactive Projectors
All BrightLink models offer an interactive projector + pen combination with advanced connectivity options to project onto any existing whiteboard, wall or other smooth, light-colored, hard surface. Epson’s latest ultra-short throw BrightLink models – BrightLink 475Wi, 480Wi and 485Wi – offer dual pen interactivity and are the first interactive projectors with built-in annotation technology that allows teachers and students to instantly interact directly with a projected image from a variety of devices beyond the PC, including tablets, Blu-ray players, VCRs, document cameras, and more. With these models, teachers are free to connect existing multimedia devices already in their classroom, over their network or even PC-free and keep writing.

Epson’s latest short throw models – BrightLink 425Wi, 430i and 435Wi – come with an included wall mount and two interactive pens and deliver a large interactive learning area at a fraction of the cost of traditional interactive whiteboard systems with variable image sizes from 68-inches to 113-inches diagonal (WXGA) or 63-inches to 106-inches diagonal (XGA).

All of the BrightLink interactive projectors are offered through Epson’s Brighter Futures® program, a unique sales and support initiative that is available specifically for schools. Designed to help educators select and implement the best products for their classrooms while making the most of their budgets, Brighter Futures offers special pricing, extended Epson limited warranty coverage for three years, dedicated education account managers, and toll-free technical support for all Epson projectors.
