University of Central Oklahoma student’s online startup to offer speedier hiring process


A University of Central Oklahoma student is creating an online job site designed to help area employers save time and money in finding the best employees, and make it much easier for college students and other candidates to find employment, The Oklahoman reports. Due to launch in November, speedyinterview.com is an automated interview service that businesses can use to screen and narrow applicants more quickly, founder Antwone Taulton said. Candidates, he said, simply select an online job opening, upload their resumes and, using webcams that are standard to most laptops and computers today, record their answers to first-line interview questions submitted by employers. Then, hiring managers, and any collaborative team members can view and review interviews on their computers or smartphones at their convenience “whether it’s at home or two in the morning,” he said.
