Terra Dotta Announces General Availability of “Engage” Solution to Increase Institutional Visibility and Personalize Students’ Global Experiences

Portland State University Among First Institutions to Adopt Engage to Simplify Campus-Wide Global Education Communications

Chapel Hill, N.C.   Terra Dotta, a leading global engagement education technology provider, today announced that its newest solution, Engage, is now generally available for higher ed institutions. Engage is a key component of Terra Dotta’s  global engagement platform, and serves as a communications hub to strengthen the connection between the student and institution. Engage enables global education offices to personalize and automate communication, and measure campaign success in terms of reach and enrollment. Portland State University is among the first institutions to successfully implement Engage into its global engagement solutions.

“We are thrilled with the early results from the pilot program, and this latest solution will dramatically reshape the capabilities each global education office has to cater to students with diverse backgrounds, needs and goals,” said Anthony Rotoli, CEO of Terra Dotta. “Through rich data insights that cut across campus departments and the removal of time-consuming manual processes, Engage helps incoming and outgoing program leaders deliver meaningful and personalized interactions with students.”

With Engage, global education program leaders can personalize the student experience throughout their journey via integrations, such as with student information system (SIS), and efficiently communicate with students through personalized, automated campaigns and events calendars.

Specific features include the ability to automate student messaging and “meet the students where they are” via multiple communication channels. In addition, the latest solution provides customized, real-time reports and dashboardson campaign performance, student interactions and overall global engagement. For incoming international students, Engage delivers engagement scores with visibility into how students are participating in events and within the campus community.

“With clearer visibility into the student journey, Engage will allow our study abroad office to build our multi-month communications plan to personalize program suggestions, automate student communications and more easily report on students’ outgoing journeys,” said  Jennifer Hamlow, director of education abroad from Portland State University. “It gets us closer to the data and streamlines our workflows so our department has more time for student advising. Engage will be a game changer for us and we are excited to enter a new era with this solution.”

Engage enriches the student experience by connecting with students earlier in their educational journey and matching current programs with student interests, locations and areas of study. It allows international education program leaders to access metrics on campaign performance like opened messages and clicked links to know what’s working and where to improve. In addition, institutions can observe audience growth and engagement on customized levels and monitor student progress as they move through their decision-making journey. More than just a communications solution, Engage also serves as the hub for student events and includes a student-facing event calendar.

Engage seamlessly integrates with current  incoming and  outgoing Terra Dotta solutions and serves as an institution’s communications hub. To learn more and request a demo, visit  Terradotta.com/Engage.
