University launches new student success coaching program

Loyola University New Orleans to develop world-class student success coaching program.

Loyola University New Orleans announced the launch of a major initiative to enhance student outcomes and the student experience by providing executive-style coaching for Loyola students.

Over the course of a three-year partnership, Loyola will work with leading student success organization InsideTrack to develop a highly scalable and sustainable student success coaching program.

To generate immediate impact and optimize the design of the program, InsideTrack’s professional coaches will immediately begin partnering with Loyola to offer coaching to every first-year Loyola student while its consulting and operations teams support Loyola in assessing the institution’s current capabilities and in deploying its own coaching, training and certification, managerial development, quality assurance, and other capabilities.

“Loyola University New Orleans graduates students who not only excel in their chosen fields but also make meaningful and lasting contributions to society,” said Dr. David B. Borofsky, interim provost and vice president for academic affairs at Loyola University New Orleans. “That is why we invest in the personalized and holistic support to unlock their full potential. Partnering with InsideTrack gives us access to the best methodologies, tools, and expertise to ensure that our student services are as impactful as they can be, now and into the future.”

A private, Jesuit, Catholic university that serves a student body of more than 5,000 students, Loyola University New Orleans has been ranked as one of the 10 Best Regional Universities of the South by U.S. News & World Report, which also consistently identifies Loyola as a Best Value university. Loyola emphasizes the benefits of a liberal arts education and the lifelong value of continuing education, social justice, and community service and offers more than 60 majors for undergraduates across its three colleges.

Since 2001, InsideTrack’s coaching methodology, technology, and tools have been proven to increase student persistence and completion in hundreds of randomized control trials and through its work with more than 1.5 million students and 1,600 academic programs nationwide.

Today, InsideTrack Coaching remains one of the only higher education interventions that has satisfied the rigorous standards of evidence established by the U.S. Department of Education for inclusion in the What Works Clearinghouse.

InsideTrack’s Capacity Building programs and uCoach® Platform enable institutions to implement and sustain their own coaching programs; to improve outcomes; and to generate insights into the student experience through predictive modeling, behavioral analysis, and multichannel communication.

“It’s clear that Loyola is dedicated to supporting all students on their paths to becoming successful graduates, professionals, and community leaders,” Mike Embry, associate vice president of program development at InsideTrack, said. “Loyola’s commitment to building the most impactful and sustainable student success coaching program possible is impressive, and InsideTrack is honored to be supporting them in this effort.”
