VideoBlocks launches U-Curate platform to simplify discovery and distribution of digital media on campus

New digital asset management platform provides single searchable location for all university approved digital media.

VideoBlocks, the first subscription-based provider of unlimited royalty-free stock video, today announced the launch of U-Curate,, an easy-to-use, lightweight digital asset management platform designed to help students, faculty and administrators create high quality, legal digital media. The platform enables anyone on campus to discover and download university-approved creative assets alongside VideoBlocks’ $10 million library of copyright-free digital media. By enabling colleges and universities to manage all of their creative resources from a simple and searchable platform, U-Curate reduces time spent searching for creative digital media, facilitates copyright compliance, and provides an effective way to collaborate on media projects across campus.

The U-Curate platform seamlessly integrates VideoBlocks $10 million library of copyright-free footage, audio, and graphics with all digital media associated with a university’s visual identity.  The new platform enables everyone on campus to manage everything from collegiate licensing to classroom material from a single, searchable location. The digital asset management platform can then be used for a broad-range of campus multi-media initiatives that include: MOOCs, visual literacy, alumni outreach, and campus media productions.

“U-Curate makes life easier for anyone using digital media on campus by saving them time and money,” said TJ Leonard, CEO of VideoBlocks. “Universities love to compliment their own digital assets with stock media to give projects a creative boost. U-Curate  is the first and only platform to pair these two important elements in a single, searchable location.”

Included in their standard offering for higher education, VideoBlocks announced that U-Curate will help universities increase their ROI across the digital media ecosystem, including investments in facilities and software, by making the outputs of these media investments available to a broad-range of campus users. The U-Curate digital asset management platform is optimized for the creative experience, offering a one-stop site for searching, discovering, and downloading creative digital media.
