Annual report highlights the IT challenges that campus tech leaders will face in 2015
The top IT issues facing higher education in 2015, as outlined in EDUCAUSE’s annual report, include retaining qualified staff, developing funding models, and supporting users in a variety of environments.
Technology is becoming more important as campus leaders try to support business operations and improve student outcomes, according to the annual list of IT issues from higher-ed technology association EDUCAUSE. A panel of IT and non-IT leaders, CIOs, and faculty develop a list of top IT issues, and the EDUCAUSE community votes on the top 10.
Of note is experts’ feeling that higher-ed IT is an an “inflection point”–namely, “the point at which the trends that have dominated thought leadership and have motivated early adopters are now cascading into the mainstream.”
