The partnership enables administrators to streamline complex identity management processes
LYNBROOK, New York – Oct. 20, 2014 — Tools4ever, the market leader in identity and access management (IDM/IAM) solutions, and Schoology, the leading learning management system for global K-12 schools and universities, today announced their integration partner relationship. Under the agreement, Tools4ever will use its technology to automate functionality between student information systems and Schoology’s innovative learning management system.
Schoology provides a learning management system that simplifies instruction and learning in a collaborative, intuitive platform. Tools4ever offers a connection from its User Management Resource Administrator (UMRA) solution to Schoology to automate student, teacher and employee account management as well as course and enrollment information.
Specifically, the UMRA connector allows system administrators to automate the creation, movement and the de-provisioning of employee and student account¬s so that no manual action needs to be taken. This allows school districts to eliminate manual input of data from their student information system into their Active Directory and will instead automatically manage the lifecycle of the user accounts across the enterprise within AD and Schoology. The result for educational entities is reduced time and resources the IT department spends dealing with account management issues.
In reference to the new partnership, Dean Wiech, managing director at Tools4ever, “Our partnership with Schoology allows us to combine our resources to provide a superior solution for school districts across the country. We look forward to a mutually beneficial partnership for many years to come.”
Bill Kindler, Schoology co-founder and executive vice president said, “At Schoology we strive to build new partnerships that will streamline the management of multiple systems for our users. We look forward to offering our customers a powerful, integrated solution with Tools4Ever that will simplify processes and save time.”
