Adapt Courseware to Present at OLC, Showcasing Ways Instructors are Leveraging a New Standard of Digital Content

Adaptive Learning Repository Helps Faculty Efficiently Create Engaging, Active Online Courses

Las Vegas, NV – October 15, 2014 – Adapt Courseware, which develops state-of-the-art interactive multimedia, is leading two sessions and a focus group at this year’s Online Learning Consortium (OLC) International Conference. Educators will have the opportunity to see how their peers are embracing adaptive learning, and experience a gallery of production studio quality adaptive multimedia that they can use and configure, along with their own content, to easily create more engaging, motivating and active online learning experiences.

“Our approach to adaptive learning merges core competencies from technology, academia and entertainment, presenting tremendous opportunities for faculty to modernize their online courses,” said Hank Bowman, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer of Adapt Courseware. “OLC assembles an exceptional group of innovators who are passionate about using technology to improve the teaching and learning experience. We are excited to feature successful adaptive multimedia implementations that enable both faculty and students to play a more active role in the educational experience.”

Bowman is teaming up with Dr. Susan Clemmons, Associate Dean at Florida International University (FIU), for the two sessions, showcasing ways that faculty are utilizing Adapt Courseware’s repository of adaptive multimedia. Adapt Courseware enables instructors to adopt interactives, videos and assessments and modify them for their own purposes, which not only saves time, but also helps them present higher value learning activities and connect with students in new ways.

“Using Competency-Based, Adaptive Multimedia to Improve Outcomes” will take a case study approach, discussing ways that colleges and universities are integrating adaptive multimedia into their courses. This session, which also will be webcast, takes place on Wednesday, October 29th at 1:30 p.m. eastern.

Adapt Courseware and FIU are also presenting “Hollywood Meets Higher Ed: Merging Technology, Education and Entertainment.” Leaders will discuss a new standard of digital content that is emerging, which leverages the talents of creative thought leaders from film, television, advertising and animation, together with academics, instructional designers and subject matter experts. It takes place on Friday, October 31st at 10:50 a.m. eastern.

Celebrating its 20th year, the OLC International Conference draws college level faculty, administrators, instructional technology professionals, and instructional designers from nearly 700 institutions in all 50 states and around the world. Adapt Courseware is an exhibitor and a National Platinum Sponsor of the event.
