Little Falls, Minn. (Sept. 30, 2014) — Atomic Learning, the trusted training solutions provider to 16 million individuals in more than 45 countries, showcases its Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) feature at EDUCAUSE 2014 Annual Conference in Orlando, Fla. Sept. 29-Oct. 2. The tool gives colleges and universities the ability to search the extensive Atomic Learning training library from within LTI-compliant learning management systems (LMS).
The LTI Tool is IMS Global-certified, and allows professors to embed the Atomic Learning search library within their LMS and quickly embed videos into courses. They can also assign points using the Grade Center.
“We wanted to ensure professors could easily access Atomic Learning’s rich resources and integrate them into their courses,” said Lisa Barnett, CEO of Atomic Learning. “The LTI Tool works with most any LMS, so any college or university can utilize it to enhance its curriculum.”
In addition to the LTI Tool, Atomic Learning also offers training on how students and instructors can use an LMS, including BlackBoard™, Desire2Learn™, Canvas™, Moodle™ and Sakai™. The LTI Tool Training helps faculty and staff at colleges and universities understand how the LTI Tool can seamlessly integrate Atomic Learning into their LMS quickly and easily.
“Learner engagement is increased with Atomic Learning via the LTI integration through the use of direct assignment of videos related to the content and authentication of the end user,” said Nathan Neuman, instructional technologist at Polk State College in Winter Haven, Fla. “The assigned content can also improve the engagement due to the removal of barriers such as difficulty of use.”
