InFocus LightPro LED projector series expands with value-priced IN1142

Ultra-mobile projector is the smallest, lightest and most affordable LED from InFocus

PORTLAND, Ore. – May 22, 2014 — Collaboration technology pioneer InFocus Corporation (www.infocus.com) has added the paperback book-sized IN1142 to its LightPro family of ultra-portable, light-emitting diode (LED) projectors.

The InFocus LightPro series, which also includes the recently-released IN1146, is optimized for travel with each model weighing less than two pounds and small enough to easily hold in one hand. The entry-level IN1142 is InFocus’ lowest-cost LED projector at less than $400 USD and, because the light-source is rated for up to 30,000 hours of use, costs almost nothing to maintain.

“LightPro LED projectors, including the IN1142, are really affordable because they last so long, there’s no lamp to replace and it uses less energy. You can use it four hours a day, five days a week, for 50 weeks a year and it’ll last you about 12 years,” said product manager Benjamin Joy. “No lamp also allows us to make it really small; you can easily stow it in a carry-on or purse and take it wherever you need to present.”

The LightPro IN1142 delivers a high-contrast, WXGA (1280×800) widescreen image at a brightness of 700 lumens. The 10,000:1 contrast ratio brings out even subtle color differences and detail making graphics and other presentation content more vivid. Like the 1000-lumen IN1146, the IN1142 is very fast to set-up and take-down without warm-up or cool-down. It has an HDMI port enabling a presenter to quickly get content from a laptop, tablet or smartphone.

All LightPro LED projectors will be available through InFocus authorized resellers and at www.InFocusStore.com. For more information on the LightPro IN1142, please visit www.InFocus.com.
