Stamford, CT – April 9, 2014 – Cengage Learning, Inc., a leading global educational content, technology and services company for the higher education and K-12, professional and library markets, today announced that four of its digital products were named as finalists for the 2014 SIIA CODiE Awards in six education and content categories. The CODiE awards remain the only peer-recognized program in the content, education and software industries and Cengage Learning’s finalist honors in these awards indicate market validation for innovation, vision and overall industry impact.

“We are honored that Cengage Learning’s innovative digital solutions have been recognized by SIIA as finalists for the 2014 CODiE Awards,” said Jim Donohue, chief product officer, Cengage Learning. “As we continue in our commitment of transforming learning with tailored technology solutions, this recognition from one of the industry’s most prestigious associations provides the validation to know that we are succeeding. Cengage Learning is navigating the industry’s transition to digital by operating with a unique faculty and student perspective, and listening to our customers and end-users is ingrained in our company culture. We are pleased to be named as a finalist amongst our industry peers and look forward to continuing to push boundaries and innovate for the future of education.”

The CODiE Awards were established in 1986 so that pioneers of the then-nascent software industry could evaluate and honor each other’s work. During the years that followed, the program evolved, but the core mission has always remained the same: recognizing excellence by honoring the software and information industry’s leading products and services. The 2014 CODiE Award winners will be announced during a special awards dinner at the SIIA Education Industry Summit in San Francisco, CA on May 13, 2014.
