Vetica Launches New Professional Learning Platform at SXSWEdu 2014

Ontario, Canada—March 3, 2014—Vetica, an education technology company, is presenting its newest product, Chalk.com, at the 2014 SXSWEdu. As a private online collaborative environment, Chalk.com creates a school and district wide professional learning community with the ability to share resources, hold discussions and work together.

Chalk.com was created after the success of Vetica’s first product, Planboard, an online lesson planning tool that allows teachers to streamline lesson plans and align with curriculum. Tightly integrated with Planboard and Vetica’s other upcoming productivity tools, Chalk.com acts as a central platform that allows teachers to collaborate and teach in one space. Coupled together, Planboard and Chalk.com enables teachers to share and collaborate on lesson plans with each other.
“Those in the education field agree that collaboration between teachers has a significant impact on student success, but there is no definitive solution that allows teachers to be more productive in less time,” said William Zhou, CEO. “At Vetica, we saw the potential to connect teachers together within their own online workspace and help them collaborate seamlessly while creating their lesson plans. That’s why we created Chalk.com.”

Vetica will be launching Chalk.com at SXSWEdu and plans to exhibit the platform to spark the conversation about education technology in schools across the nation. Vetica’s mission is to empower teachers. By providing technology built for teachers, Vetica helps teachers focus on what matters the most, their students.
