Symplicity Releases New Features and Enhancements in Career Services Manager

ARLINGTON, Va. February 21, 2014 – Symplicity today announced the winter update of its Career Services Manager™, the company’s market-leading career services management system.

Among the highlights of the update are major enhancements to the system’s core manager tools, including a revamp of the form builder, which will provide a more fluid process for customization and data extraction to work with the system preferences of each client. The company announced that the form builder revamp is the first step of a three-part update to optimize forms, expand reporting capabilities and offer more customization options than ever before. The three-part update will be completed this spring and summer.

Several new enhancements were also made to student CRM tools, including a redesigned student overview screen that will provide staff with a comprehensive view of each student’s activity, displaying jobs applied to, interviews conducted, counseling records and more.

New student self-help tools were also released. The company announced the integration of O*NET Interest Profiler from My Next Move, which will allow students to assess their interests and discover career options through a wizard-based career exploration tool. In addition, enhancements to the Mock Interview module will give students more flexibility in submitting feedback on their recorded interviews, as well as the ability to download and save video files.

New system settings were added to the Experiential Learning module, including an enhancement that automatically extends a job offer to the next ranked applicant when a student declines an offer or if the offer expires.

Other enhancements to CSM include the ability for students to add notes when submitting documents, an improved opt-in resume book process, and enhanced search options in the employer directory

“This CSM update features new functionality that will enhance the student database, both the manager and student interfaces, in many ways,” said Kat Clark, product support specialist lead for CSM. “Our goal is to continue to grow with the career services industry by constantly developing new and innovative features to improve the system and the experience for students, faculty and employers throughout the entire job search process.”
