US MOOC provider Coursera has a pilot program to help students who have completed a free online course to advertise their achievement on their LinkedIn profile, Financial Review reports.
As the program is rolled over the next few months, students who complete a course will be sent an email with an “add to profile” button that would add a record of the completed course to the student’s LinkedIn profile.
Where students have a verified certificate of accomplishment (a fee-paying feature that involves identity checks and an assessment) this would also appear on the profile.
