Adapt Courseware Executive to Present at Instructional Technology Council eLearning Conference

Higher Education Attendees from Around the World Gather to Explore New Ways to Make Online Education More Engaging and Effective

Rochester, NY – February 11, 2013 – Adapt Courseware, the provider of comprehensive adaptive online curriculum resources that individualize each student’s learning experience, is presenting at the 2013 eLearning Conference hosted by the Instructional Technology Council (ITC). Hank Bowman, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, will lead a dialogue with frontline college and university eLearning practitioners about delivering more meaningful and motivating online learning experiences that can drive measurable learning outcomes.

“The more we talk with educators about the challenges and limitations of most online courses, the more we agree that online learning can and should be better,” said Bowman. “Adaptive learning strategies afford tremendous opportunities to make online learning more engaging and effective. We are looking forward to some insightful discussions with ITC attendees about their current online offerings, the great potential of online learning, and the types of changes necessary to further improve the way students learn and succeed. After all, students who are highly engaged and successful have a greater chance of completing courses and programs, which can lead to higher retention rates.”

Adapt Courseware has conducted extensive research on learning theories and implemented a well-orchestrated set of design principles that are taking online learning experiences to the next level. Bowman’s session will review the importance of principles such as effective multimedia, optimal challenge, student choice, mastery learning, and social learning, along with their combined roles in fostering student collaboration, engagement, and productivity.

“The Power of Adaptive Learning: What Would the Best Online Learning Experience be Like?” is scheduled for Tuesday, February 19th at 2:30 p.m. Attendees can also engage with the Adapt Courseware team in booth #25 to sample the adaptive learning experience, including the company’s new social learning features that promote increased online collaboration among students and with instructors.

Delegates from across the country and around the world will gather in San Antonio, TX for eLearning 2013, which takes place February 17th through 20th. The event will highlight new and successful educational strategies, effective online learning technologies, and specialized techniques for teaching at a distance. ITC is an affiliated council of the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) and represents nearly 400 institutions that offer distance education courses throughout the United States and around the world.
