Walden University Introduces Executive Master of Business Administration
New online EMBA program provides advanced skills for global business leaders

Minneapolis—June 19, 2012—In today’s global marketplace, the demand for world-class business leaders is greater than ever before. For experienced professionals who aspire to become innovative global leaders, Walden University is introducing a new accredited online Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) degree program to provide the advanced leadership skills needed to move forward in the field.

“The Walden Executive M.B.A. program is designed to be a journey of personal and professional transformation, where students identify their leadership style through an in-depth self-assessment and work with an executive coach to expand their entrepreneurial mindset and gain exposure to international business practices and cultures,” said Dr. William Schulz III, associate dean of the School of Management. “Our EMBA fosters a diverse team environment where carefully selected, experienced professionals can thrive on the exchange of new ideas and perspectives.”

The online EMBA program includes several unique features designed to enhance a student’s learning experience, including:
• Peer Learning and Expert Facilitation: Under the guidance of faculty with both academic and executive experience, students gain new perspectives by engaging and collaborating with a select group of highly motivated peers who offer a diverse blend of geographic and industry experiences.
• Leadership Assessment and Executive Coaching: A personal mentor helps students assess their leadership capacity and assists them with creating personal and professional development plans to enhance their effectiveness as leaders and decision makers.
• Domestic and International Residencies: Students connect face to face with their cohort and faculty members at a U.S.-based leadership development residency and an international business development residency in Brazil, China or Germany.
• Exclusive Speaker Series: The program features exclusive content including interviews with renowned business, economic and technology leaders, such as Tony Hsieh, Jimmy Wales, George Lucas and Shelly Lazarus, who are transforming their industries with entrepreneurial spirit and innovative thinking.

This program can help prepare graduates for leadership roles such as CEO, president, vice president, director/senior manager, consultant and entrepreneur/business owner.

Walden’s online EMBA program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), a leading specialized accreditation association that identifies and supports excellence in business education. The EMBA joins Walden’s School of Management suite of ACBSP-accredited programs: the B.S. in Business Administration, Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.), Doctor of Business Administration (D.B.A.) and Ph.D. in Management.
