Pennsylvania police and school administrators could listen in on conversations that take place on school buses under a proposal exempting buses from state wiretapping and surveillance laws, reports the Pittsburg Tribune-Review. Some school districts have started rotating video cameras between buses, but state law prohibits recording conversations without consent. Legislators heard testimony Sept. 30 on a bill that would add an exemption for school buses. The hope is that having audio could assist in investigations and deter problems such as bullying and sexual harassment, said Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen A.
