About the Event

The flipped learning model is revolutionizing how education is instructed, but not all faculties know where to begin. Believe it or not, getting started with flipped learning involves more than just technology. In this webinar, Dr. Jerry Overmyer of the University of Northern Colorado and Shane Lovellette of TechSmith will discuss how to get faculty on board and ways to equip them to flip.

Dr. Overmyer will share his experiences from the Mathematics and Science Teaching (MAST) Institute – which provides leadership and coordination for projects and programs to improve math and science education – where he helped provide training and support for more than 30 college faculty to flip their courses. In addition to key takeaways from the two-year project and more on the pedagogical perspective, Dr. Overmyer and Shane Lovellette will discuss how to best use video in the flipped classroom.
