Excel4apps’ GL Wand and Reports Wand for Oracle provide university with financial reporting and analysis

analysis-reportingExcel4apps, a provider of Excel-based inquiry and reporting software for use with SAP and Oracle, announced that Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) will implement two of its Wands for Oracle suite of products.

GL Wand and Reports Wand provide instant access to live Oracle E-Business Suite data for expedited financial and other reporting processes.

“After a comprehensive trial of Excel4apps products within our own Oracle environment, we saw how the products complement our existing software with unique functionality that offers access to real-time data and drill down to transactional details, as opposed to static, manually-exported data,” said Alison Campbell, Director of Financial Systems at CMU. “We feel that this technology will create efficiencies for finance managers across the university with respect to financial reporting while also providing an Excel-based mechanism for detailed analysis of critical Oracle financial data.”

During the no-cost trial, CMU experienced how Excel4apps products automate many manual processes via a Microsoft Excel front-end favored by finance users.

The tools support ad hoc reporting, real-time Oracle data refreshes, and drill down to transaction details.

“We’re delighted to have CMU join our other Higher Education clients around the world who are leveraging our products to access real-time data and enable faster and easier ad hoc reporting and analysis,” said Chris Meyer, President Americas and Europe for Excel4apps. “It is our purpose to eliminate the pain-points and often repetitive nature of traditional ERP reporting and to optimize and accelerate budgeting processes.”

Excel4apps was a bronze winner in the Fastest-Growing Company of the Year (Small) category in Best in Biz Awards 2015 International. For more information on Excel4apps and its products, visit here.
