Idea Challenge fosters entrepreneurial skills


Partnership between Pearson and DECA, Inc. supports the DECA Idea Challenge 2015 to support students’ entrepreneurial efforts

entrepreneurial-skillsPearson has announced a collaboration with DECA, Inc. to support the DECA Idea Challenge 2015 as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the world’s largest celebration of entrepreneurs and innovators, Nov. 16-22, 2015.

DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.

Pearson’s participation is part of its “Connect Learning to Earning” campaign focused on developing entrepreneurial skills within today’s students to prepare them for success in college and the world of work in a 21st century, global economy.

The DECA Idea Challenge 2015 fosters entrepreneurial thinking skills by daring students of all ages to think collaboratively as a team, create a new use for a commonplace item, and pitch their innovation in an engaging YouTube video in merely eight days.
