Students at Indiana University now can use mobile phones to access campus news, search campus directories, and log in to see their grades, reports the Chicago Tribune. The new web service, called IU Mobile, also allows users to search campus directories, find out if there are open computers in technology centers, and check out bus schedules. Campus maps soon will be added to the service. IU Mobile was designed specifically for smart phones and is thought to be a more user-friendly alternative to web sites designed for desktop and laptop computers.
