MIT develops a portable, high-resolution 3D imaging solution

Researchers at MIT’s Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences have developed a new method to create high-resolution, 3D images using a portable apparatus, which previously could have only been created using large and expensive lab equipment, Boston Innovation reports. The system, called GelSight, was created by Professor Edward Adelson, CSAIL member Micah Kimo Johnson, graduate student Alvin Raj and postdoc Forrester Cole.
