Qlik, a provider of visual analytics, has launched an expansion of the Qlik Academic Program with its new Data Analytics Curriculum.
Designed as an easily adoptable and ready-to-teach university-level program, the Data Analytics Curriculum provides professors with free resources – including instructor-led content, in-class activities and student assignments – to make teaching data analytics easier than ever. This program aims to not only help universities improve the value of their offerings by teaching marketable data skills, it also intends to help students advance their analytical and data literacy skills within every academic discipline.
The Qlik Academic Program is open to any accredited, non-profit university-level institution worldwide. Today more than 500 universities in more than 55 countries participate in the program, including: Northeastern University (US), Stockholm University (Sweden), Tallinn University of Technology (Estonia), Virginia Tech University (US), British Columbia Institute of Technology (Canada), California State University Fullerton (US), University of Minnesota (US), Dresden University of Technology (Germany), and Thammasat University (Thailand).
Offering free, full-year subscriptions to Qlik Sense® Desktop and Qlik Sense® Cloud, the Qlik Academic Program empowers students and professors to visualize and analyze data, and to share insights and findings through an interactive, collaborative team environment. In addition, students and professors can now take advantage of Qlik Continuous Classroom, a 24/7 self-service online learning platform that provides a new way to learn by allowing them to completely customize their learning journey based on their individual needs. Learners can choose from more than 50 modules containing videos, exercises, and quizzes. They also have the ability to interact directly with Qlik instructors and other learners, leveraging web conferencing tools and forums to quickly get answers and share best practices.

In addition to this new Data Analytics Curriculum and unlimited access to Qlik Continuous Classroom, students and professors can now take advantage of other Qlik offerings such as Qlik Community. The Qlik Community Academic Program forum is a private group on Qlik Community for program-approved professors and students. Offering a one-stop shop to access all Qlik academic resources, including the Data Analytics Curriculum, Qlik text books, and free data sets, fostering collaboration and networking. By sharing resources and starting discussions, professors and students can see how others within academia are using Qlik and build upon their experiences.
